Alright, I was waiting for someone to say it, but no one did. How are David Sonny\'s Bengal unis different from the unis they wore before their last uni change? The black stripes in the orange look a little different and the shoulder stripes go more to the edge of the shoulder, but I can\'t see how that\'s not just a return back to an older style, and an ugly style at that!

The discussion here drives me crazy when people complain about Cincy\'s uniforms just because of the sidebar on the jersey and the short pants stripe. I think that has been the best uni update in the NFL since it not only incorporates some of the past elements(Tiger stripes in orange stipes), but it also takes a very pleasant leap forward with a new number style and unique sleeve stripes that I find complement the entire outfit. When they made the change the team had just taken a big step forward on the field and the update seemed to reflect the manner and mentality of that Bengals team that was looking to write a brand new chapter in the history of the Bengals franchise.

No rip intended on David\'s design, there\'s just no visible difference.
Go check out their last two uniforms. Neither of them had the abbreviated stripes angles towards the number, instead they wrapped all the way around the sleeve. Next, the sleeve numbers were in the position that was used in the first attempt at stripes in 1981, yet the stripes themselves came from the change in 1997. The alternate colored collar and sleeve bands comes from the modern uniform as does the B logo.

Any more questions?
So, yeah, there's nothing really special. Got it!

Hence, "greedy" was meant as a compliment. I wasn't actually calling you greedy.

Damn it.

I didn't mean function. I meant tradition. Fuckin' fingers. It IS 3 AM here after all.

It's amazing how one fucked up word changes everything.

Jesus, I'm so sorry, man. Don't take that the wrong way.

oops. somehow i deleted the line about how i have collected and been given/inherited blue ornaments from nephews, ma and pa, and sibs n such. didn't know i did that. i also didn't mention my tree is my grandparents circa 50's tree that loses inches every year as the branches go kaput and i shave the top. i also didn't mention many of the ornaments i have are my parents or my grandparents collected when we lived behind the iron curain. anyway, it has meaning past "blue".
Oh, you greedy bastard, with your style and your function. I still wouldn't trade my Christmas for the world. (I could still go for a present from God though: the girl I like could come home for Christmas too, instead of going to South Dakota, and my feelings wouldn't be hurt. It sucks when you like someone that goes to a college that's hours away from you. It really does. Santa Claus, please take note.)

To me, there's nothing better than just taking time to bond with the family and enjoy all of your past memories and create new ones for the future.

(Holy crap, I just got really sentimental. Sometimes I swear I'm a 40-year old trapped in the body of a 19-year old.)

(Also, I fucking love my parentheses, and copy editors everywhere can just get fucked about it.)

(Note: I'm a copy editor.)
wait, my pineaple is in school, her in st.l, me in chicago, no difference. style and function? really?!?! i told you the opposite. not that i don't like the style, but mine it is largely a family tree with sentimental value, collected as i said when we lived behind the iron curtain. did you miss that? and i never said your tree was wrong either, dig your own tree. what is with people today? is it national crack day?

and on greedy, that is a low fucking blow to someone who is so not. who asked you to trade/change your ways to fit my ideal, not me. you do what you want, i would never said your ideal was greedy, or anything else. why is mine?
