The NFL has been wiring the umpire for years. That's how you can hear the QB signals. I'd like to know how far it goes back. I bet close to 10 years. Surely some production guy at a network would know. These wind inhibiting muffs are the fuzziest I have ever seen though.

Pretty sure those are mics on the umpires hat. Don't know if the fuzziness is a "camera trick" or they got wet but I've noticed the dual bumps on NFL umpires cap brims this season. I've also noted from watching games that there is clearer background audio that sounds as if its coming from the players, particularly the QB signals

It's funny how Australians call their jerseys "Guernseys", while we called them....well, "Jerseys". They both happen to be names of Channel Islands. Does another nation call their jerseys "Sarks" or "Alderneys"?
I drive my wife crazy calling jerseys "guernseys". My logic is on Batman, the state of New Jersey was called New Guernsey. I'm silly that way.
Actually, before they got their modern-day connotations, guernsey and jersey were two specific types of sweater. They both got their respective names from those Channel Islands.
Didn't know that. Thanks. :>)

Three seasons was not nearly enough.

You got that right.

And if the dipshits at Fox had their way, season 2 would never have seen the light of day. "Unfortunately" for those douchebags, the show won a shitload of Emmy awards, Golden Globes, Writers' Guild awards, etc. and they pretty much had no choice but to bring it back.
good thing for DVDs and Sundance or is it IFC?
Love that show... miss the constant look of bewilderment on Jason Bateman's face. :)
Probably no one will see this comment since it is decently late in the night, but let's try anyways--

In the photos of the Rivalry Uniforms (check Texas, Miami, and LSU) there is a distinct swoosh on the thigh pads. Does Nike make their own pads for their pants? Obviously shoulder pads are done elsewhere, but I have no clue about the manufacture of pants padding.

Seems like a crappy (but probably legitimate) loophole for logo creep. Hopefully this is only something that will show up in these leaked pictures, never reaching the gridiron.
Let's be honest. These "rivalry" unis exist only to promote nike. Nothing more.

Most of these unis have no point to them sat all. They are not Throwbackks, they are not really "alternates" and they are not even novelties or improvements to anything - even for variety's sake.

White over White on a bunch of these? Why? What does it have to offer?

Let's call it what it is, A lost opportunity for some needed variety, and Nike DOUCHEBAGGERY for Douchebaggery's sake .....
Wow. I can't believe that LSU is going to wear those POS. I sorta liked the TCU and FSU designs. But Nike wouldn't even make the stripe for tOSU wide enough like the real throwbacks. And you dont mess with LSU's. METALIC GOLD??? REALLY??? I hope that these pics were leaked soon enough for the LSU fans to start a mob and riot agaisnt these.
LSU actually wore metallic/Old Gold into the early 1950s, when they switched to the current "Athletic" Gold (Yellow). Steve Van Buren & Y.A. Tittle wore Old Gold head to toe - Helmet/Jersey/Pants.
