Harden likes to wear the alt for home night games.
Would he be able to pitch if the Cubs didn't have an alt?

Just, y'know, wondering. ;)

Obviously my linking is like my love-making. That is to say it happens rarely and with miserable results.

For my third post, I would like to mention that the NFL logo has clearly been "redded," "whited" and, yes, even "blued" out from all the Seahawks' practice jerseys.

This can't be am coincidence.

Here are some photos of training camp where the NFL logo is very visible on the Hawks' jerseys:

(note: never tried this before, sorry if it gets ugly)

Question on the Seahawks' practice jerseys:

I noticed in the photos of the red jersey and the white jersey that the NFL logo on the neck seems to be "blacked out." (okay, in the spirit of all the recent stadium dress-up days, it appeared "redded" and "whited" out)

Does the NFL have an official "search engine," such as Google or Yahoo!? Is this why the NFL logo is minimized?

I'm proabably being overanalytical (it's what I do), but do you want real A&B sides or can we get really odd, like say Buzzcocks doing (a) Boredom and (b) You Light Up My Life?
they can be actual yes, that would be swell. or they can just be 2 songs by the same artist.
OK, if it is an actual single, does it have to be the same band or can it be a split?

For example Arcade Fire's <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intervention_%28song%29" rel="nofollow">Intervention</a> 7" with Calexico covering "Ocean of Noise" on the B-Side.

I don't even know why I'm asking this considering that you probably won't even read it until 1 in the morning.

Oh, and if I had seen your post about needing an extra player earlier in the day, I'd have gotten my glove all shined up real nice for it and helped you out. *wink*
i am the only one up since i have 5 hours of stats from the softball league to work on, but...
same artist only.

there ain't no gloves in 16", can't even use a batting glove in the field. the league i ump on tuesdays and wednesdays are as hardcore as they get. as a native batimoron, at first i thought 16" was kind of stupid, but the more i see it, it is as hardcore as it gets.

DenverGregg, Would you or any other Buffalo fan know if the colors are correct in this football figure? I saved as many pictures as I could of this guys figures before he quit selling them.

He has this guy as 1941 Colorado. I was thinking of trying to colorize the Byron Whizzer White Colorado picture I posted in #19

Here is the figure. Is it accurate?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v478/Larrymb/41Colorado.jpg?t=1253109647
Sorry to say I don't know. That's a little before my time.
I spent a lot of years trying to determine uni colors from only b&w sources. And, yes, metallic gold almost always photographs darker than silver. That said, that Whizzer White photo is a certified bitch...because not only are we trying to determine what's silver or gold, we also have deal with satin and matte finish fabrics, which can lead us WAY off in wrong directions.

Odds are, it's pretty basic. But the "hodgepodge" possibilities are numerous, with some of them quite ghastly. LOL

---Ricko
Bottom Line : The Mustard Gold was darker, and the "Silver" on the Uni was likely more of a darker, duller Gray. As to the helmet, I have no clue.

I had a Colorado Buff Jersey and Pants combo purchased on EBAY for $200.00 7-8 years ago, from the Whizzer White era, that was worn either just before or just after the uni featured here. I verified the style as I saw a Whizzer White pictured in that same uni playing for the Buffs in other photos.

The jersey had no "Friction Strips", but was a Mustard Gold jersey (similar Gold to this 2009 Throwback, but a lot darker in color, but not quite a true Old Gold), with smallish Black felt numerals (#12) with no trim, with a Battleship Gray stripe running down the side of each long sleeve, from the collar to the end of the sleeve. The jersey was a very strong, wool material similar to a thick modern Rugby jersey material, with the Gray stripe a looser knitted wool. It had a Colorado Sporting goods store tag, and I forget if it had a manufacterer tag.

The pants were a Dark Khaki/Gold, a bit darker than the jersey, made in a very strong, very thin gaberdine canvas, with full dark brown leather pads covering both knees, and with the same wool knit Battleship Gray stripes (from the jersey) running down the back of each leg. The pants had a national company manufactering tag, if you told me I would remember - the manufacterer that had sort of a circular logo with info printed in the circle.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Katrina did to it what 70 years of hoarding and trading of hands and wear could not do, and I was never able to recover it from the wreckage of my house, as it was in a Chest of Drawers buried under mounds of furniture after standing in the Katrina funk water for two-plus weeks. I couldn't get to it.

I will say this, the knit wool material of that jersey, even after 70 years, was strong enough to tie to a trailer and tow with. It was dense and strong unlike even the better rugby material sold today.
Nick, Glad I checked this at this time.I remember you told me you had that jersey.

Thanks for the post.

Sorry to say I don’t know. That’s a little before my time.
I spent a lot of years trying to determine uni colors from only b&w sources. And, yes, metallic gold almost always photographs darker than silver. That said, that Whizzer White photo is a certified bitch…because not only are we trying to determine what’s silver or gold, we also have deal with satin and matte finish fabrics, which can lead us WAY off in wrong directions.

Odds are, it’s pretty basic. But the “hodgepodge” possibilities are numerous, with some of them quite ghastly. LOL

Bottom Line : The Mustard Gold was darker, and the “Silver” on the Uni was likely more of a darker, duller Gray.

The jersey had no “Friction Strips”, but was a Mustard Gold jersey (similar Gold to this 2009 Throwback, but a lot darker in color, but not quite a true Old Gold), with smallish Black felt numerals (#12) with no trim, with a Battleship Gray stripe running down the side of each long sleeve, from the collar to the end of the sleeve.

The pants had a national company manufactering tag, if you told me I would remember – the manufacterer that had sort of a circular logo with info printed in the circle.

I couldn’t get to it.

I will say this, the knit wool material of that jersey, even after 70 years, was strong enough to tie to a trailer and tow with. It was dense and strong unlike even the better rugby material sold today.
