The shoe is a hybrid of the Nike Air Griffex Max 1 and 2.

Usually there is an embossed graphic of Junior on the instep of the shoe, but on this edition, it is Jackie sliding into home, while featuring the colors of the Dodgers.

If it’s the Dodgers (Brooklyn) colors, why the hell is most of the shoe gray? A tribute to Jack’s hair color?

It may be a great shoe, that for Powers to decide. But there is no tribute to JR.

Man, that’s two sarcastic remarks I missed today! Look, I didn’t want to come across as “that not possible” so if someone said “it was from….” I don’t want to say “BS!” If that is just something the swoosh made up with, that’s atrocious. In my search, I did see a couple examples of the shoe and slapping a 42 on the back and a date tag on the inside hardly qualifies as a “tribute shoe”.
