The Kings blue logo on the bed spread might have been simply a misunderstanding on the manufacturer's part. Jack Kent Cooke, owner of both the Kings and the Lakers in this period hated the word "purple" and insisted his teams' colors were "forum blue and gold". Growing up in Los Angeles, I still remember Bill Miller, the Kings announcer, and Chick Hearn, the Lakers announcer, describing the two teams taking the ice and court in their "forum blue" uniforms.
