“Fuchs” is German for “fox” and is a very common surname. It’s not that guy’s fault that the cameraman was at just the wrong angle, and that the photo was seen by English-speaking people unaware of the sponsor.

I thought I read somewhere (and I would have guessed it was here) that Chicago’s goalies always have thicker black stripes on their jerseys. I can only assume it’s to let the stitcher know that it’s a goalie’s jersey? No clue.

I think Tom O’Grady mentioned this a few weeks ago, but it bears repeating: The Blackhawks’ red and black sleeve stripes are supposed to be of equal thickness, but the team’s goalies have thicker black stripes — weird (with thanks to J D Vercett for the latest round of pics).

I can’t find anything on any other site.

I’d expect Rod Brind’Amour to be getting the same treatment the year after he retires, and then it’ll be a while before another one gets retired. Only ones on the roster right now who could would be Staal and possibly Cam Ward, but thats a long time away.

Here’s that Al Smith mask I was looking for awhile ago. We were dicussing the baseball jersey with multiple team logo’s. This is the actual mask not 1 of the white knock-offs.
