I have heard from a "credible
Too bad, I was excited that the Mets had added more wearable jersey combinations, just another way to impress big brother I guess. By my last calculations, they were somewhere in the 60+ range if you consider a white cool base jersey different than a white jersey and a blue batting helmet different than a blue cool flo. Has Paul ever done anything on which MLB teams lead the majors in worn uniform combinations?
I heard from two credible sources that the Mets black road jersey is going into mothballs. Personally, if they HAD to keep a black jersey, I'd rather it the home one go, as I love the old-fashioned "New York" look on any jersey.

I know the blue hats and pinstripes have made more appearances the last several years, but I don't get why that idiot Charlie Samuels needs to basically keep them in hiding.

Pinstripes for every home game
Snow-whites for Sundays/holidays
Road grays

BLUE CAPS ALL AROUND
Playing around with "lyrca sleeves under shoulder pad vest"...a Bengals "harkback" (along the lines of those those Indians alternate homes).

Pants like originals, new conservative helmet, Princeton stripes on sleeves of "under" shirt. White would be same undersleeves with white vest, black numbers edged in orange.

(Hey, I was bored here tonight...LOL. Wolves blew a 29-point lead, too).

Very nice. Take out the drop shadow (probably too difficult to do for the picture from a graphics standpoint) and it would be among the best NFL uniforms in many a year.

That Oregon "29 TD" tribute sticker/logo was quite nice and creative.

I really enjoyed that Buffalo Aud story and pics. I'm gonna check out those other links about infiltrating.

always love to see my school get some mention, even in the comments. i agree that pitt should incorporate the script as an alternate uniform, in my opinion for both football and basketball. all the neil diamond songs in the world (inside joke for people who've attended pitt fooball games this year) could not match the roar the crowd would give to the team comin out in script.
all that said, i think it should remain an alternate if they are to use it. it took me three years but ive fallen for the block pitt logo, and i think it is a very classy design. also, i think our football uniforms the past two years have been phenomenal. i like the monochrome blue at home and i like the white over blue on the road. even our gold alternate looks great. and all three of those feature the block pitt logo at the chest (which, btw, i didnt think i would like until i saw them in action).
i really really want to see pitt incorporate a script alternate uniform, but i would want it to remain just that, an alternate. and like kek, i really wouldnt care if it were royal and mustard or navy and vegas gold. either one could look great.
Every fall we practice removing facemasks and how to properly remove pads from injured football players (high school level). There is a whole training program we have to go through in order to provide an ambulance at one of the games, you simply cannot just roll out and treat patients like any other head injury. There is really no reason to remove the helmet on the field, or anywhere else until it is determined there is no spinal injury.
In regards to the facemask removal situation that happened in pitt, I am an athletic trainer at a high school and every year we also go through the same training program, the reason the facemask is removed is so that we may have access to the airway if the athlete become unconscious or if they already have. The reason to not remove the whole helmet is that football shoulder pads raise the level of the body up an inch or so, equal to the helmet. If there is a suspected spinal injury letting the head go into extension or back would not be good and could cause further damage. If you had to remove the helmet you also must remove the shoulder pads. We also have special tools to cut off the clips that hold the facemask on to complete the task as quickly and with the least amount of movement possible. Luckily I have not yet had to do this in my practice and I hope I never will.

As a fan of Oregon, I am surprised to actually be disappointed by their lack of creativity this evening...defensively and sartorially!

Is that Punty McOnebar or Warren from "Something about Mary"?

The helmet is an Adams, which many NFL kickers still use.

The actual Scott Player wore a Riddell.
That jersey's nameplate is sewn on. A former Jeff Garcia jersey?
