Dad got the SWC Record books out and they show Michael Downs lettered as a freshman in 1977. All my data came from a Rice Media Guide – but those media guides ultimately require some individual to type in all that data. It sure looks like #5 to me and I believe the SWC record book! So – it must be Michael Downs.
