Anyone else notice that the picture of the "current" font style

on the Steelers number petition page isn't actually the current font? In fact, I don't believe it's one they ever used at all. The 6 in that picture curves all the way around and down at the top, while the one in the actual font stays diagonal.

Reminds me of the fake jerseys on eBay with the laughably obvious flaws (Dolphins 40th anniversary logo patches with clock hands, anyone?) (sorry, couldn't find a picture).
Scroll down to the bottom of this link for the Denver Dynamite's 1991 Zubaz uni

http://www.klaus2.com/cstl/teams/denverdynamite/denverdynamite.html

Also, there's an excellent You Tube of 1991 Arena Football Highlights, I can't ID all the teams but can tell you that the TB Storm, Orlando Predators (playing in the o-rena), and the Detroit Drive (in 'regular' light blue with white helmets) are in there.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDDRmiP_pwk

From my memory, this video, and other sources, here are the 1991 Arena Football teams that did and did not wear the Zubaz.

Zubaz:
Tampa Bay Storm
Orlando Predators
New Orleans Night
Albany Firebirds
Denver Dynamite

Did not:
Detroit Drive
(2 unidentifable from video)
The team with the thunderbolt helmet was either the Cleveland or Columbus Thunderbolts. If it was 1991 then it was Columbus. The Dallas Texans were the other team. Neither of these teams wore zubaz.

"Why what a fine pair of stirrups you have on Mr. Lukas."

"Look at these clippings I have, Mr. Lukas..."

Seriously, I am truly amazed at the stuff you have archived. We should waive the requisite waiting period and elect you to the Uni Watch Hall of Fame immediately!
Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy, I was glad to find someone who'd appreciate those pants. Bought 'em on ebay five or six years ago and they were a bit too small so never once got to wear them. Also bought several lots of assorted stirrup socks back then.

Besides, I'm thinning out all my gear. Sometime in the next year or so some lucky SOB's gonna get the whole mess, just for paying the shipping (which won't be cheap, believe me).

So...all you guys who have 36-38 waist and (for ankle length) 33-34 inseam (are you listening, Matt?) should start being really, really nice to me. There are about 60 pair of pants here (many 70s styles, including a pair of Taco Padres), and a like number of stirrups (at least). LOL

A couple dozen size 12 Nikes, too, in various colors. :)

Plus four dozen or so size 7 3/8 to 7 12 hats.

(Shit, that reminds me. I inadvertently deleted the address of the guy in Canada to whom I was supposed to send that Albuquerque Dukes hat. So, please, send it to Paul again?)

Good. I hated the way we looked just like Oklahoma. Texas has the same style. It's so... generic looking. The only way I could tell a difference is the Razorback on our helmets. The stripes on the pants are similar, too.
I say, good move for Arkansas.
