Actually for the South it’s biscuits and syrup (which they sell at the Biscuits games). Just got back and all of the Biscuits players had pants pulled up to the knees with high socks showing. The Brimingham Barons had on their new Red alt tops all with pajama pants on. It’s too bad the Biscuits lost in 10.

That CC bobble is just….ugly. But I will be there next Sunday for my Matt Cain Bobble, to go next to my (urp) Zito Bobble. And next year, if all goes well, a Lincecum Bobble seems appropriate.

Of course it’s ugly, it’s the Crazy Crab! It was fun to boo him again.

School Ties … 1940’s uniforms for 4-5 teams, it ranks right there with THE NATURAL for great uniforms.

By the way, it has ALWAYS been my belief that THE NATURAL kick-started the large-scale interest in Throwback hats and jerseys that have been the bedrock of Mitchell & Ness and Ebbets Field Flannels. thank heavens for that movie …..

I’m personally more in favor of the “Outlaws” nickname that the article suggests was one of the main options.

Not only would it be delicious irony, given the fact that they had to reach a court settlement to move the team…but it would also make me think of the USFL and the old Oklahoma (later Arizona) Outlaws. We need more latent references to the USFL. :)
