That’s putting it mildly. 6 days after Fisk set the games caught record, the Sox released him – on the road, and then wouldn’t let him in the clubhouse when he tried to wish his friends on the team well during the playoffs. Fisk wanted nothing to with Reinsdorf & Co. after that, and rebuilding this bridge was long overdue. Fisk, while most certainly better-known as a member of the Red Sox, still ranks as one of the most popular White Sox players of all time.

Uh…oops. It’s Chicago Athletic ASSOCIATION, and the blue circle is part of the CAA logo as well. They have a website.

That’s only an issue with the Cubs because technically, the big red C belongs to the Chicago Athletic Club; the Cubs have permission to use their C logo and place the UBS inside of it. Mr. Lukas wrote about it once in the early days. (In the Village Voice days?)
