I just witnessed the Flyers win 6-3 then less than two minutes later, the Phillies won 4-3. Both teams are at home, has a situation like that ever happened before where two professional teams won in the same city at roughly the same time?
the mets and yanks, while rarely home on the same day, i am sure have done it in the past...if you team either NY baseball team up with the knicks or rangers, im sure that's also been done numerous times...i won't count the isles (not NYC) or jets/gints (joisey)

likewise, with several franchises in LA...it's likely been done there too...and chitown...

good question tho
the stadiums are nothing like the one's in philly though. the yanks, mets, islanders, rangers, whoever - all their stadiums are spread out. the phillies, flyers, sixers, and eagles (along with phantoms, wings, and kixx) all share the same parking lots. must've been a mess with traffic down in south philly tonight
Oakland is like this, too. The Arena and Coliseum are about 100 feet from each other. In From October to April (minus February and March) there's the possibility of having an A's or Raiders game on the same day as a Warriors game. I distinctly remember seeing highlights of a Warriors game described as being "next door".
Regarding the OREGON football picture, the 3rd player from the left, who looks to be wearing #70 IS actually Dennis Dixon wearing a #10 jersey. #55 is another player (don't know who), but 3rd from the left is definitely Dixon.
Wrong! The third from the left is Cameron Colvin.

From left to right
Donte Rosario
Jairus Byrd
Cameron Colvin
Dennis Dixon

This if from 2 years ago, for the unveiling of the new uniforms.

i just heard it announced that NINE teams all wore 42 (so all had NNOB) and you also had the giants and yanks with NNOB...did i miss anyone?

that means at least 11 teams wore NNOB on 4/15/08

plus you had numerous teams with players wearing 42 (and hence, NNOB)

memo to gene, bud, don and the owners: DID YOU SEE HOW GOOD THAT LOOKED???

Not exactly....I love the Pinstripes but not Cool Base version. They have the same problem as the Cubs and Phillies; plain white on the fabric under the arm.
The Marlins have that same problem at home too, but I can't find a picture. The manufacturer should be able to put some stripes on those sections.

“Forgit the beauties here,” says Scott. “Check out the different number fonts. Yankees fans forget — or more likely don’t know — that the Yanks and Red Sox shared that ‘Red Sox font’ for much of the Ruth/Gehrig/DiMaggio eras.”

Are my eyes fooling me or is there more than 1 style of number font in that dugout? Could it be that is a member of a different team (even the Sox) in the dugout in pinstripes? Just thinkin' out loud...
