Hey guys, this is the proud owner of that Hollywood jersey. Just want to thank Paul again for throwing the shindig at Pyramid and going to try to answer a couple questions on here to the best of my ability.

First to #59, it depends on the wool lot. The natural fibers in the wool can affect the level of the color depth. Some of the Hollywood jersey’s I have seen are that tone, but many come out the tone of my Stars hat, which is much darker (and you can see in the picture what I mean).

Secondly to the Gentleman wondering about the Rock Island jersey, unless there has been a very recent change that I’m not aware of, Ebbets is not currently doing football jerseys and has not for the last couple years. It never hurts to ask though, and keep an eye on eBay as I’ve seen one on there before so there’s probably a couple others floating around out there somewhere…

Thanks Mike! I contacted Ebbets and it’s as you say, they don’t make them anymore. I will keep an eye out on eBay, though.

And I ordered that Hollywood Stars jersey over at Distant Replays – too good to pass up. :)

This is the smallest one I have. To respond to a couple comments made about it, first of all:

-of course I don’t wear it untucked. It’s like that so it will not come untucked during game play. It is very durable and stretchy, enough so that a cornerback can put on pads underneath it.

-no, those “authentics” on eastbay are not authentic. They don’t have the very short sleeves or sewed on letters on both layers. This is clearly meant for game play and not very big. Its an even slimmer cut.

-Nike, for better or worse has adopted a slightly different design as of 2007, but nowhere except for collegejersey.com or ebay or other websites that sell game worn pieces offer these player cut designs. Why is this?

I was thinking it might be a good idea for someone to make an offering where you can order a jersey right from the manufacturer, with the number, size and cut you’d like. Can anybody help explain why there isn’t a market for these gamers? The same is true with the NFL by the way, none of those are true gamers that are authentic, and often times even when sewed on its only the base layer, the other is false stitching that is printed on. It would be more expensive yes, but the quality is very high.

Does anyone else have any gamers from the last 4-5 years, either nfl or college, when the cuts became very tight?
