I was just watching the US vs. Cuba Olympic qualifier and there was some odd stuff going on:

1) One of the subs (#13) had a jersey that looked like it was once a #3 and then had a 1 tacked on later. Really odd.

2) All the Cuba players had numbers on the front and no name on the back. The keeper had “Cuba” across the front and his name (Jose Manuel) on the back.

3) The US was wearing their World Cup-style jerseys instead of the new ones, and white shorts instead of the usual blue. It actually looked pretty cool.

I’m glad to see that everyone can ALL agree that the NBA’s “Noche Latino” was a sham. I totally agree with e-mailer Pablo Souki. I’d like to my beloved Chicago teams honor our vast Latino population.

not sure if it was brought up previously, but since you have so much hokey stuff today, I thought I’d post this. Friday night the Blackhawks held a ceremony for Hull and Makita, unfortunately instead of having them come out iin the great striped jersey the Hawks wore for the 75th anniversary season or the old school Indian jersey (shown in the Hull phoot you have up today), they had them in RBKEdge jerseys. Also wanted to link to this video (http://youtube.com/w...) it was a special thing done Friday, has lots of great oldtime photos, but also has a cool 3d computer thing the Indian head logo being sewn.
