Im sure there are sillier rituals out there, but thinking of them would just be too depressing. Heres a quick rundown of thoughts from the latest edition of this annual exercise in pointlessness: What exactly exactly is the rationale for having the players arrive in their full uniforms? Actually, Paul, it is cream. Look at the photos, not that illustration where the grey is also too dark to be accurate. Personally, I think it looks good, but I wish the beaver was wearing the same uni as the team does. I especially love the old-school stripe that runs down the sleeves.

I'm not a big fan of horizontal stripes for much of anything, and I agree with everyone else who's said that they should establish a constant identity (yellow over blue for Brazil, green over yellow over red for Mexico, white and sky blue stripes for Argentina, etc.) going forward. There's still plenty of room for varying designs within those templates if you're concerned about selling more product. The new USA soccer shirt is ugly.
