Nope. The one that PL posted didn't have the crossed part. If someone else posted the same ones I did, sorry I didn't have time to check all of the other posts this morning at work.
After the Bills practiced on Saturday, Marv walked out from the tunnel at, then, Rich Stadium and looked at the "recruits" some shoveling snow in nothing more than a sweatshirt, not because they were trying to be fashionable, but because they simply had nothing more to wear.

Seeing this, Coach Levy quickly went into the Bills locker room and came out with all the coats, hats, and gloves he could carry and distributed them to those needing warmer clothing.

best hockey fight ever

That is insane!!!The other day, someone posted a pic of someone who has tie downs on his jersey(sweater) to prevent it from being pulled over his head. Why doesn't everybody do that!

It's strange to see hockey players act like this. Aren't they all in a union together. Don't they interact professionally off of the ice?
First and foremost, hockey is a very passionate game. Players are like siblings. You get in arguments and get in fights, but a couple weeks later you have beers together and laugh about the incident.

Secondly, the NHL mandates that all sweaters be tied down with the straps. If you get in a fight and are not turned down, they give you a misconduct.

The reason for this rule is that it is actually an advantage to have your jersey off. With no jersey for the other guy to hold onto, he had no way of tying you up and defending himself from your punches. The untied jersey can also be used to hold over the opponents head, which is quite dangerous.

Last time I checked, no one left their seat to grab a beer while a fight was going on, so I don't know why people have such an issue with it.
