I like how the barbarians wear their local club socks rather than their franchise socks,its cool that the stockings of a club like old boys or Rangiora could be seen at twickenham. Although the European based players wear major teams socks because their big teams are actually still clubs unlike the super 14 which is just made up of franchises i suppose.

I think the story you’re thinking about is in Tennis where the governing body was restricting the size of sponsor logos. Nike claimed the stripes were an adidas logo. No argument here.

But explain this 1990 49er uni. Sometimes 3 just looks better than two. It’s not always a logo or an extension of said logo.

The Jets are the exception to the rule.

I always liked the contrasting shoulder w/ stripe the Jets sport… That, the thickness of the pant stripes, and the fact that the jersey only contains two colors, make the monochrome look work ALOT better then on pretty much everybody else (minus all-white monochrome)
