Firstly, it's Murrayfield, all one word. Secondly, Scotland's kit doesn't actually have grey on it, It's a white honeycomb pattern printed over the Blue. The fault here is with the NZRFU and Adidas - they didn't move far enough from their regular colours to avoid their change shirts clashing with the shirts their home shirts clash with... Traditionaly New Zealand change shirts were White, not sure why they changed, probably partly cos they've been making their opponents change for the past few years during tour matches etc.

Here is a link to a great website that depicts all the Michigan High School helmets! http://www.michiganhelmetproject.org/
That's an awesome project, but it always saddens me to see so many NFL or NCAA logos used by high school teams. Surely there is at least one creative kid in those schools who can come up with something better than the Buccaneers logo in yellow. And there are probably more high school teams with the Eagles wings than Eagles fans.

I'm sure cost comes into play, but even a blank helmet with the school's colors shows more pride than some of these.

Sure a Knight rides a horse that has horse shoes...

And what does the Wolverine claw have to do with a Lumberjack?

Awesome project, but how about we forget the books and get the kids some new helmet decals next year, huh?! Priorities!
That's my highschool football conference, first of all the wolverine helmet isn't supposed to be a claw it's just a "winged" design left over from typical leather design.
I have a possible explanation as to why the Arthur Hill Lumberjacks would have a Michigan helmet. Arthur was a lumber tycoon in Saginaw and a UofM grad and regent.
Back in the 1980s and early 90's all these teams had unique helmets (for instance arthur hill had a spiffy AH logo) it suddenly became the trendy thing to do about 10 years ago.
Here is an interesting article about the history of the U of M helmet design.

Also, my HS (Marquette Redmen) uses a red helmet and used to alternate every few years between a white M and an indian chief logo (I couldn't find a shot of the helmet, but the logo can be seen here.
I'm just glad they don't use some college or pro team logo.

Back to the good old days of black and white tv at Murray Fields yesterday where Scotland, wearing dark blue and grey was taking on New Zealand wearing grey and black. As you can imagine the result was quite confusing. Most of the times, it was REALLY difficult to tell the two teams appart.

My high school’s conference. have to go to the northwest tab, and sandusky bay for the conference. don’t ask about some of the color choices. let alone what the unis look like. we’ll just say the monochromatic look is prevalent.

Where are you from Dan? I'm a graduate of Port Clinton, class of 2001.

i'm from huron class of '05

Someone mentioned the PC police earlier. My high school's mascot is the Redskins. The running joke/rumor is that if we ever got sued, we'd be the fighting walleye in a week, colors would be toxic waste green and lake water brown, and that we had the uniforms on order ready to go. Thankfully, that hasn't happened so far.

Hey, I knew a girl that graduated from Huron, Katie Sims. well, I think she graduated, she was a "frequent flier". or in other words, she hit up Da' Ganje a tad too much.
