And I think 19 of those 44 points were part of the questionable free throws that I have already mentioned. I’m not bitter the Sonics lost…just that it felt fixed with the horrifically disproportional free throws.

How can you complain about your team getting called for fouls when George Karl said before the series “Every time Kevin Johnson drives the lane we’re going to try to put him on his back” That sums up the thug mentality of those Sonics teams…thus the foul discrepency.

These made numbers made me long for the official fonts many soccer leagues use. They were unreadable most of the time.

Haha, I noticed that when Landin got sent off in that game the ref had to check the back of his jersey to figure out just who he was sending off.

No. “Dallas” is nicely integrated into the ST*RS logo, similar to how “Washington” slides right into the CAPITALS wordmark. The “Los Angeles” simply looks randomly placed. Almost as awkwardly as NASHVILLE on the white Predators jerseys. Stripes would have been better here. I really hope that was sarcasm on your part.

yeah, the Los Angeles is very awkwardly placed. I just bought a 2002 LA kings 3rd jersey, and it’s just a bother on all counts.

If a city name is part of a logo ( Dallas, Washington, Anaheim, Edmonton, Minnesota 3rd, Toronto, Tampa Bay, winnipeg 1 and 2, islanders fisherman, cleveland barons) or it IS the logo ( Rangers, Avalanche 3rd, Anaheim, old pittsburgh 1 and 2, california golden seals), it’s really not a problem…seriously, it’s not, it’s part of the identification of the team.

if it’s tacked on, it’s really not necessary…if there’s an example where this is great, tell me, because i sure can’t think of any. examples where it is bad: Los Angeles, Nashville, old blue Capitals, 80s Blues, Atlanta (though i hate the one-sleeve more), old buffalo, bruins poohbear shoulders

i think that’s every example back to the original six…before that is rather irrelevant. if i forgot one, say so.

The Islanders one is not bad, but they messed up on the patch. It should be 4 stripes to represent their 4 cups. I don’t really like the placement of the patch either.

That Colorado 3rd jersey is the worst jersey I’ve ever seen. It looks like a misprinted T-Shirt. However, I do enjoy the Hurricanes 3rd jersey, and a couple other ones for that matter.

Since the regular writer of this column has been on holidays, he’s had an intern, ‘Vince’, since then there have been a few complaints about ‘who cares about stewardess’ uniforms, this is a sport-based uni site’,,etc. In Vince’s response he included the phrase “I don’t know much about hockey”…pardon??!, don’t know much about hockey??? where the hell do you live, where are you from, is this not a sport based uni site???, last I checked, hockey is a sport. unless you live on Mars, what the hell you doing interning for a site based on sports uniforms. With all these new uni unveilings, which paying customers thrive on in here, there has been a one liner about it, a half assed one I might add..”Finally, the new Sharks logo is out”. But let’s focus on dressing up manniquins in clothing.

I think you may be a bit harsh with your comments here. At times the focus may stray away from sports uniforms, but whenever there is any leaks of any sports league jerseys, this site provides all the late breaking news.

As for the one liner of the Sharks new logo, what else do you want him to say that hasn’t already been said when the first leak of the logo came out. It is hard to discuss much about the logo without the rest of the uniform.

The airline uniforms article was great. Aside from the fact that it wasn’t sports related, it featured many of the elements we use to discuss and debate over sports uniforms including style, design, functionality and overall look. Not every single thing mentioned in this blog is sports related, it happens, probably because most of the people who read and participate here do other things beside think about sports uniforms. Enjoy the diversity of topics covered and it there is something you aren’t interested in, just skip over it. If you see something isn’t covered, you are more than welcome and give your opinion. Some days the comments are more interesting that the article. It just takes Paul to get the ball rolling.

In my opinion this site is great, Paul does a great job and so do all the people, including Vince, who contribute to the site.
