At the end of Damien Cox's mailbag from April 5, <a href="http://thestar.blogs.com/thespin/2007/04/mail_bag.html" rel="nofollow">the Toronto Maple Leafs will not be changing their logos</a> for the new Reebok uniforms.
During tonight's Reds/Diamondbacks game, a highlight from 1998 was shown, featuring Reggie Sanders hitting a home run.

The Diamondbacks' announcers then mocked Sanders' pants for being too tight ("Reggie, what were you thinkin?" and "That was another time"). Now while I am not a fan of the supertight pants, good ol' Reggie looked a lot better with his tight pants that stopped at the ankles than today's slobs in their pajamas that drag on the ground.

Also of note was the pitcher, Andy Benes. He had his pants (which were also very tight) hiked up to his knees, showing off his purple stirrups. I don't recall many players sporting that look back in 1998.
Even better, that clip was the answer to the AFLAC triva question on FSN Arizona. It was also the answer to the Aflac Triva question the night before on FSN Ohio. just thought you'd like that! god I love the MLB extra innings package

Holy Tornado! ManU is absolutely destroying Roma, did not see this coming.
Aaaaarghh! You know, some of us like to Tivo daytime sporting events for viewing after work in the evening. A SPOILER warning would have been nice. I know enough to stay off soccer or sports-news type sites but did not expect a game result posted on a uni blog comment.
From the look of the final score, you really didn't miss too much of a match. It was a fine looking match though.
The Brewers announcer just commented about Johnny Estrada's "old school" look with the stirrups and the high socks. They said he does this to honor Carlton Fisk. I though you fellow uni lovers would appreciate that tid bit of information. (No pics of Estrada yet)

<a href="http://i.a.cnn.net/si/multimedia/photo_gallery/0605/gallery.bostonlineup/images/fisk_01340221.jpg" rel="nofollow">Fisk</a>
Always thought the Red Sox patriot stirrups were among the best. I didn't realize that Boston used navy helmets during their unfortunate elastic waistband era. Weren't the caps red with navy bills?

It was just said that there were over 19,000 people in attendance in Miller Park for the Tribe/Angels game. I think that is pretty darn impressive.
