What's even weirder is than the fact that the PINK shirt says "ORANGE" is that the word "ORANGE" is printed in BLUE. (!)
Just saw Shooter, and toward the end of the movie, Marky Mark has some major logo creep (or, as they call it in the movies, product placement) on a ski hat he's wearing in the snow. UnderArmour must have shelled out some big bucks.
I noticed this too - nice head wear by under armour. I was entertained by the movie, too.

Vincent, that's what I thought. I was really surprised to see the swoosh. I wonder if he got fined or reprimanded.

Wait, the refs don't like the knee-highs? What's wrong with them?
They editted the rule book this year so that you can't wear the long tights. Some socks look really smooth, and with the length of the shorts, sometimes you really can't tell if someone's wearing long socks or tights. The refs have to check.
Yeah, I know that's true in the NBA, but high school? Huh.

Funny skit on SNL last night (Peyton Manning was host). There was this clueless woman who was leading the ESPN pool, and she chose USC over Texas because Texas wears orange. "We do tangerine; we do coral; we DO NOT do orange!"

I have a question for all you intelligent people out there. I was watching the local high-school boys' basketball tourney, and there was a player with a giant swoosh on his headband. Now, I know advertising brands aren't legal in college, but is the same true for high school? I'm in MN, if that helps.

If no one knows, perhaps someone can point me in a general direction to find out? Thanks.

I don't know about Minnesota, but in Florida, we are not allowed to wear headbands with logos and such on them. However, one of my teammates and I both have logos on our headbands (he has a Nike logo and I have a U.S. Tennis Open logo on mine). What we do to get around it is put the logo on the back of our heads so that their out of the way. Despite this, one of our other teammates always gets caught for his New Balance logo. I think my logo would be acceptable because it's not a logo of a company. I haven't had any problems with referees over it, but they do yell at me about my socks. I wear the knee-high socks and the referees really have a problem with that for some reason. But that's for another day.
Is the light blue of North Carolina and UCLA less powerful than the darker blue of Duke and Penn State?

Please, somebody/anybody, help me out here .... :(
I would, but Duke and UCLA wear more of a royal blue, whereas Carolina wears both Columbia and Navy blue and Penn State wears Navy blue.

The Lakers are wearing their Sunday home whites tonight and they have a special trim and patch on them. Anyone know what for?

I am guessing it is for the "Fiesta Lakers" promotion... Similar to what the Suns did a while back.

By the way, Kobe has 17 with three left in the first.
That's gotta be it. This is what the patch looks like.

That was quick. Where did you find photos online of a game in progress?
the trim is all of the flags of Latin and South American countries. clearly the NBA is going after the Spanish speaking populace of these countries, which is why I found it funny to see the Brazilian (they speak Portuguese for those that didn't know) flag on there.
