Yes, Tommy Lasorda was the Dugout Wizard and he wore a Carnac the Magnificent-esque get up.

I can’t say I remember specifically what episode or drill you are remembering, but if it involved the catcher – maybe it involved another cather from the era like Dempsey or Gary Carter… not sure.

But I do remember them re-enacting the George Brett pine tar incedent.

Got in real late to the discussion, but I really remember “The Baseball Bunch” and have looked for it on DVD. No luck. Didn’t Tommy Lasorda play a Genie or Magician? Really liked the 2 strike pitch out Johnny Bench pulled off that they re-enacted, but can’t remeber the pitcher or batter. Any one?

Apoligize if any of this was already discussed.
