I have to say, I like the red vest for some reason. Not sure why. I can't explain it at all.

I just like the thing. I want to buy one for some strange reason that part of my doesn't understand.

I much prefer the white one, though.

I have a buttload of hockey sweaters. Many Red Wings sweaters since I live in Michigan. But another thing I am doing is collecting the jerseys of players named Guy who have made it to the NHL, since that is my name. There are I believe 7 players in NHL history named Guy who have played 100 or more games (Lafleur, Lapointe, Charron, Chouinard, Hebert, Carbonneau, and Trottier).

Here is my collection so far:

Lafleur - 1972-73 Authentic Montreal red (Mitchell and Ness)

Carbonneau - Replica Montreal white with Coupe Stanley 1893-1993 patch

Carbonneau - Replica Dallas Stars green/black "star" with 1999 Stanley Cup patch

Lapointe - 1972 Team Canada white replica #25

In addition, I have a non-lace up New York Rangers jersey which I am looking to turn into a Lafleur- once I find a place which can letter and number a jersey in the 1980s NY Rangers style, which is different than what they use today.

I am really looking forward to working on this collection, because Charron was captain of the Washington Capitals back in the red/white/blue days and also played for the Kansas City Scouts. Chouinard played for the Atlanta Flames. Carbonneau also played for the St. Louis Blues in the mid 1990s when they had the sweaters with the diagonal striping. Lafleur played for the Nordiques, who have one of the best looking sweaters in history. I'm not looking forward to the purple Mighty Ducks Hebert jersey, but with the passage of time, even that jersey will seem charming in its on way. Trottier played for the Leafs back in the early 1970s, back when they had pretty nice looking jerseys, with the blue shoulders and the lace up collar...and no names on the back.

Quite a few NFL teams were outfitted by Puma in the late '90s. The league was split fairly evenly between Nike, Adidas, and Puma at that point.

I still like the Pirates' vest because red is my second favorite color, but I can see why people don't think it's right for the Pirates. As it is an alternate, they won't be wearing it very often, so that should bring some (cold) comfort.
But Minna just because they are alternates doesn't mean they will only wear them some of the time...for example the Washington Wizards gold/black unis
Hm, Kenny, 'tis true. I seem to remember that someone else posted that they would only wear them a few times. Anyone back me up on this?

By the way, your girlfriend/wife (I'm assuming that's her) is a lucky woman. Post more of your favorite jerseys!
Thanks y'all for posting your favorite jerseys, though I am surprised not to see Teebz posting his hockey jerseys.

Jon in SLC: next time please warn me before you post two of defunct MN teams' jerseys so I can properly brace myself. Thanks.

That undershirt that Mo Williams is wearing looks like a flak jacket.
No prob, I'll warn away next time. I figured the pic from the ad I use for work with the shit-eatin' grin would be the cherry on that sundae. Where is Teebz? I was waiting to see what he'd put up. I am in between two houses, with half my things in storage until the basement is finished. So I looked and I only have three of my jerseys currently with me. All football. My hockey and baseball are packed. But when I get them out I'll take a pic of me in the beautiful Univ. of Maine jersey, just for you Minna.
Yeah, Jon, that pic of you doesn't quite fit in with the theme (though I suppose it is your uniform), but you're a good-looking guy, so post away. University of Maine????? University of MN, fool! Represent.

I didn't actually go there, but I have to defend the hometown boys and the best hockey team in the college ranks. I'm not crazy about the grinning Golden Gopher, but it could be worse.

Teebz, Teebz? Bueller, Bueller?
