Nike’s oversaturation of the market is sickening, and even got to me as a young teenager in the early 1990s, with all of the Nike Michael Air-Jordan stuff, it really got obscene on TV and other media outlets. And besides, Nike usually makes an ugly garbage product (some of the ugliest shoes & jerseys I have ever seen). Nike is selling a lifestyle. Nike deserves all the bashing and more.

Nike is the best sports marketing, product design and forward thinking apparel company on the planet...who is this concealed person anyway, Paul Fireman/CEO of Reebok?

There’s nothing wrong with a Nike swoosh adorning an item of athletic wear. Nike is an athletic wear company.

Yep. Bingo. And Toyota, GM, Daimler-Chrysler all make automobiles and guess what??? They put they're corporate logos on their products...Who cares?

I've never seen one topic (Nike logo creep) so over analyzed. It's sickening...

Stop it.

Have you seen the Wizards alts, the Pirates Sunday red vest or the Sabres unis... now there's reason to go ballistic...

Well the double standard continues. If Nike had put their logo on the front of the NBA all-star shorts and jerseys plus the sides (three strips = Adidas) then Paul and his little anti Nike sheep would be having a heart attack. Paul, I like reading your columns dealing with uniform updates, but the Nike bashing is getting old.
I agree 100%
I disagree 100% You people gotta be kidding me: comparing this blog & Paul tattoo's & etc vs. a faceless irresponsible corporation in process of world-takeover like Nike? I take it those who disagree with all of the Nike bashing have swoosh shoes and swoosh sweatshirts and swooshes all over their clothes.
Hmm. Quoting didn't work. Anyway...

The Bucs are keeping the striped jerseys for Sundays and day games. Salomon Torres modeled them in another shot.
Wow, aren't the Pirates lucky that they released that red jersey after that Uniwatch article ranking cities (btw, if cities lost points for having a dome, then that rule should work inversely and Pittsburgh should get points for PNC Park). Anyways, does this mean that they're getting rid of those striped jerseys? They aren't great but exponentially better than all red.
what is your overall opinion on alternate baseball unis. I think they look terrible. IMO colors should only be worn for BP and spring training.

Amen! If baseball is going to force the dark-colored unies down our throats, the powers that be should at least establish a rule that only one team per game can wear the alts.

I don't know if anyone has seen these yet, but the Pirates' will have a new alternate jersey this spring. It's red.

#52: 52. Once again, the Giants will wear the best-looking road jerseys in the NFL.

Correct. Classics. The Steelers' road unis are a close second.

Yes, I am reading the article as I post.
Hope the Pens stay put; it just would not be right for them to be the KC BBQs or something like that.
the plan i've heard here in KC is that they would be called the Monarchs in tribute to the negro league baseball team. buck o'neill, a negro league player and local legend, passed away last year. the town worshipped the guy so i think they would be doing that for him.

the name sucks but they could certainly do worse.
