Both Eric Dickerson and Craig James wore tearaway jerseys in the early '80's.

Also, seems like a discussion of suit versus tracksuit choices by English soccer managers may be worthwhile. I vote suit.
Suit if the job title is manager, tracksuit if the job title is coach.

Regarding the poppy, Canadian NHL players (in the Tor-Mon Nov 11th game anyways) wore poppy stickers on the bottom left side of the back of their helmets. If you watch the highlights from the Tor-Mon game, you can clearly see the sticker.

New Zealand played (and destroyed) France in a rugby international earlier today (or yesterday, depending on where in the world you are). Poppies can be seen on the kiwi's jerseys here and here and here , and on the coach here.

Apologies if there are issues with the last three links, I had some minor issues.

The silver patch on the neck of Nike basketbal jerseys is the Nike ELITE medallion. When a Nike school makes the Final Four, they become a Nike Elite team and have the Nike Elite madallion and wording on their uniforms, warm-ups, practice gear, etc. This is also true for womens' programs. No idea why George Mason doesn't have one though.
Syracuse also looks to have different shorts this year - look similar to the new Illinois.
So I'm a little confused...A website that abhrs logo creep is selling temporary logo tattoos? What would the Uni-watch reaction be to temporary Nike tattoos? Love the site, just think it is a little hypocritical.
Couldn't agree more. Paul is always bashing Nike, and in the meantime he lets Adidas get away with the worst college BB uniforms year after year.
Just got home to find my ESPN: The Magazine waiting for me with Kevin Durant of the Texas Longhorns basketball team on the cover...with no swoosh in sight. The other covers (with Ohio State and Carolina) also swoosh-free. Did ESPN do a little airbrushing?
The Mag
I think the NCAA only allows logos (Nike, Addidas, etc) on the shorts. The jersey you or I can buy has the logo on the upper chest, but the one the players use is logo free. As for the shorts I think the swoosh is merely out of frame on the bottom. You can see some examples here of what OSU wears on the court.
