(L-R) Michael Redd, Andrew Bogut, Charlie Villanueva, Bobby Simmons, and Maurice Williams (seated) of the Milwaukee Bucks sport their new unis during a preseason photo session.
The uniforms look nice, though I’ve never been a big fan of having a side stripe on the jersey that continues down through the pants. During a game, they never line up and even in this photo where the players are just posing, the stripes don’t line up on #22’s and #21’s uniforms. In my opinion, a major oversight by the photographer. ;-)
I think, more than ever, that teams need to have a contrasting-colored waitband to help offset the main color of the uniform when it’s worn with the baggy shorts.
It’s opening week of hockey season, which sports the better winter-sport uni’s, and we have to look at the Milwaukee Bucks? Even the Buffaslug is better than baggy, shiny, red and green…is that a uniform, or the cheap Xmas wrapping paper my kids school makes everybody sell the first two weeks of the school year?
By the way, someone yesterday posted that Vertical typeface is bad (see the Atlanta Thrashers sleeve) – however, diagonal typeface is nice (see the Colorado 3rd, the Rangers, and University of Wisonsin) Agreed?
Have we established if the Bucks fixed their glaring logo inconsistencies?
In continuing the Penguins discussion from last night…The team is bound to Isle of Capri, but if the company cannot procure a gambling license, they’ll likely pull out, leaving the Penguins to plan B. Plan B is through the state, and would require the owners to help pay for the arena. The team is not bound to this option, and it simply takes a veto from the owners for the Penguins to be canadians forever.
By the way, someone yesterday posted that Vertical typeface is bad (see the Atlanta Thrashers sleeve) – however, diagonal typeface is nice (see the Colorado 3rd, the Rangers, and University of Wisonsin) Agreed?
Vertical type is universally bad — no exceptions. But I agree with you that diagonal type has great potential in limited use, and for some reason hockey jerseys are the only places I’ve ever really seen it.
And speaking of, I want to add the Penguins alternate to your examples if I might. I always liked these

I think hockey sweaters are the only tops with enough real estate for the diag. orientation, thanks to the padding and generally large players. Could work in football if it weren’t for the front numerals.

Whatever happened to the diagonal alt? I liked it infinitely better than the current gray torso alt with the ill-fated triangle logo
Quote from a football blog on the Oregon-Oklahoma game.
“I like the Oregon helmets a lot. The dark green and yellow thing works really well there. The uniforms have just gotten out of hand to me. The metal grill marks, the rollerball numbers, etc.
At least this year’s unis are better than the bright yellow monstrosities they used a couple of years ago.”
Better, say you?
We say no.
upon further review, nhluniforms.com doesn’t have it listed as an alt, though it was their away uni when dark was still worn for away games and before the return of the skating penguin. However, I feel like I remember seeing it much more recently than 01-02, the year before they changed unis (skating pen was alt that year). Working on photo research for my own sanity…
I was watching the Tigers-Yankees game last night and noticed the “D” the Tigers’ hats and the jerseys are different (check out the upper right corner of the logos):
Kenny Rogers
I was watching the Tigers-Yankees game last night and noticed the “D” the Tigers’ hats and the jerseys are different…
Absolutely true. Nobody has ever offered a satisfactory explanation for this (although I’d be willing to be that it involves a long-ago change of cap and/or jersey manufacturers and a fuzzy Xerox machine). I’ve avoided writing about it for ages, in part because I find the discrepancy sort of charming and am afraid MLB might force the Tigers to choose either one version or the other if the discrepancy starts getting lots of media attention (can’t believe they haven’t insisted upon this already, in fact). But if the Tigers win the ALDS, I may just go ahead and write an ESPN column about it.

I also think the “D” on the caps are smaller than they used to be.
Watching the Arkansasa/Auburn game on CBS, which is like the home of the SEC or something right? here we are in what, week 5 or 6, I can never remember, and they went “above the lines” which is there little inside the game keys to winning type deal. Well, they were showing highlights from both teams, and they still have the Russell R on the Auburn uni’s. You’d think this far into the season, they would have new footage. I’ll try to get a screen grab for you all. anyone else see it?

So agreed – although they never wear them anymore it seems – I love Pittsburgh for their uniformity in colors for all pro sports teams. I hate the Penguins though – Lemieux was a whiner, and Crosby is Lemieux X 2

Ok, this is my screen grabs, they are really just good old digital photos taken of a paused TiVo, anyone have some other way? let me know,
ok here is the first one that tipped me off, then they showed this one which you can see is this year b/c of the UA logo in the back, then they closed the scene with this which is clearly the wrong one. and just for your referance, here is what it looks like now
While watching the Bruin/Panthers game last night, I noticed something that prompted me to come in here for a rare Saturday post… Tim Thomas’ mask. Has Uni Watch or any posters here ever discussed how butt-ugly this thing is?
It’s not a full mask. It cut’s off at about his ear and it’s just cage down below his chin where the chinstrap comes in. I guess the thought is that he can bark at his defensemen more clearly and is able to geta drink easier, but wat what cost, my man? Geez, it looks like one of these.
You’re making good money, Timmy… pay for the whole mask, not just half.
Watching the Texas A&M/Kansas game, and it appears that the Aggie quarterback has taken some scissors to his sleeves and cut most of the bottom part of the sleeves off. His shoulder pads are sticking out quite a bit. You would think that Nike would make some “quarterback sleeves.”
I think a very nice look for the Demon Decans.
BTW Clemson’s pants are PURPLE!!!!
Really, you think this is a good look, don’t you think you’ve seen these once, or twice. Me, I’m seeing a pattern here.
It’s not the same, the key difference between the Miami jersey and the Wake jersey, is that the Wake Jersey doesnt have the “bib” look. Even in this game, Clemson has the Miami bib where Wake has the 2 color patch’s and then the piping goes straight down, instead of wrapping around the back.
I’m not saying its a classic, or the best ever jersey, I just think it looks good for Wake.
But IMHO there is no better classic uni matchup than the Tigers and Yankees. Just put stirrups, sanis, and black cleats on … and it could be 1968 out there.
Funkiest World Series combination to come:
Mets/Athletics.
And it ain’t 1973.
I was at my high school’s football game last night, and I wondered for the millionth time why the green and gold Stevenson Patriots wear black pants at home AND on the road. Added to Libertyville’s black on black, last night didn’t look so good. Does someone want to give me a good reason why we do this? Becuase i have no idea.
It was the old road from the mid-1990’s (hence the Rick Tocchet numbering). That jersey was used right after the first Stanley Cup win, and was paired with the modern penguin triangle that never really caught on.
The Pens rolled out an alternate to go with this set (with the gradiant stripes going around the torso) and then replaced the away jersey with the alternate. Until the current jerseys came a couple of years ago.
The diagonal writing only works for my if its the New York Rangers. It’s just their thing. I don’t like the Colorado edition…..maybe if they changed the font it would be better, but it just screams ‘copy cat’.
I’ll be going to the Oregon-Cal game tonight and I’m actually looking forward to seeing what Oregon will be wearing tonight for the prime time game. I’m really hoping that tonight’s the night they break out the ivory helmets. As terrible as everyone has been saying the Oregon uniforms are, which I agree with to an extent, you have to admit there hasn’t been a bad uniform combination so far. A big reason for this is that head coach Mike Belloti has been choosing the uniforms that they’ll wear that week. Last year Belloti let the Oregon senior decide and vote on the combination. Probs to Belloti for having a good eye (so far).
But IMHO there is no better classic uni matchup than the Tigers and Yankees. Just put stirrups, sanis, and black cleats on … and it could be 1968 out there.

With regard to home uniforms, you may be onto something. When the Tigers’ lackluster road uniforms are thrown into the mix, it is another story.
The Tigers have had some truly dreadful road unis over the years. Remember the orange stripes that ran down the sides? How can a team be so good and right at home, yet confused and unappealing on the road?
Hoopy Hoildays from your 2006-2007 Milwaukee Bucks.
Hey, this uni sucks. the old version just needed to be flipped from dominant purple to domiant green and add a tweak of an orange to help brighten it up.
Hallmark cards might like this but as a hoops fan, plain awful!
In the Chinse New Year calendar, 2006 is the year of the shitty uniform. Ducks=Sucks, Bucks=Sucks, Sabres=Slugs… are the leagues hiring the visually challenged to develop their logos and theri uniforms. A nice gesture but not effective…
Spiezio, a switch hitter, has 2 different helmets. Just saw on TV that he was switching his helmet when the lefty came in to pitch to him. I suppose that’s what switch-hitters do when they don’t wear double earflaps, huh?
All of NBC’s Steelers/Chargers ads have had quite a few highlights of the Chargers wearing their powder blue jerseys. Game is at San Diego–anyone know if the team will be wearing the throwbacks Sunday night?
The diagonal writing only works for my if its the New York Rangers. It’s just their thing. I don’t like the Colorado edition…..maybe if they changed the font it would be better, but it just screams ‘copy cat’.
It’s fine for colleges and universities, though.
And yet – in a way – that was a throwback to the orginal Penguins uniforms. Love the numbers on this one.

As an A’s fan, I’d be all over a Mets-Athletics matchup. In terms of uniforms, I think the Mets have regressed from ‘73 while Oakland has improved.
I’m not a big fan of Oakland’s green jerseys, but they’re not bad for alts. Their white and gray jerseys are timeless, as evidenced by the fact they have basically remained the same since 1986 or ‘87. Other than sleeve patches, the only difference between the ‘87 grays and the current ones is the addition of a curlicue thingy in the “O.”
An A’s-Mets matchup would be completely unwatchable if MLB lets the two teams wear black and green at the same time. I’ll just tune in to an audio broadcast for that.
Why can’t MLB forbid both teams from wearing colored alts in the same game?
Uni-wise, it’d be an aesthetic dream if the Mets wore pinstripes and blue hats while the A’s ditched the green jerseys.
I was watching the Tigers-Yankees game last night and noticed the “D” the Tigers’ hats and the jerseys are different (check out the upper right corner of the logos)
Watching today with this in mind… it seems the “jersey D” is unique; the “cap-style D” is mirrored on the warmup jacket worn by Jim Leyland and by the big logo behind home plate.
They just mentioned on the Yanks/Tigers game how Leyland wearss cleats during the game – I never noticed that – and never thought about it – Paul, do you know of any more managers that do this? FOX says Leyland’s the only one….
Did anyone catch the 12th Man patches on the Texas A&M kickoff teams Saturday v. Kansas??
That’s the 12th man there’s several on the team that wear number 12(one per play obviously). They are walk on players who play on kick coverage. Read about the tradition here. Also for more info search the Uni Watch site for the previous coverage of this patch.
Some Florida players are wearing the new Nike underlayer shirts that Paul mentioned yesterday. Their pattern is a gator print, a la an alligator suitcase.
Vertical type is universally bad — no exceptions. But I agree with you that diagonal type has great potential in limited use, and for some reason hockey jerseys are the only places I’ve ever really seen it.

…damn security code
Corrent me if I’m wrong, but i don’t believe it was meant to be gray, I think it was meant to be light blue as a tie-back to their old blue uniforms.
And it’s correct that those other jerseys were never alts – good catch. They have discussed new alts but nothing of substance. With the amount of time it takes to get alts approved, I’d be surprised if we see anything in the next two years. Love the skating pen, though.
By the way, that game I talked about three days ago: Chelsea vs. Dexter, featured the worst coaching move I’ve ever seen. If the Chelsea guy who posted originally sees this, you are welcome for the onside kick with the 3 point lead with 1:14 left to play. That’s 11 straight losses against are biggest rival, someone needs to be fired.
It seems to me that the LSU Purple Tigers’ jerseys have the same stripes and general design that UF’s throwbacks had last week.
Ryan Smith (who’s blowing up on LSU right now) seems to be wearing some sort of new undershirt: it’s got a blue body and sleeves, but has an orange band at the bottom of each sleeve. I couldn’t see enough of the shirt to tell if it had any gator-ish designs on it.
Fox announcer on the tube talking about the Tigers unis. He says they are the only team that has a color on their road unis (orange) that does not appear on the home unis..and that the old english D has to be shown at all times. “It’s nice to take pride in a logo, but it’s better to beat the Yankees.”
I was just poking around nhluniforms.com and it looks like the Calgary Flames have phased out their 3rd jersey (which I always kind of liked, despite the fact that most didn’t) this year.
The Tigers’ opponents from New York have the same issue with their home unis. The Yankees’ cap NY and the jersey NY are different as well.

Schadenfreud is a most beautiful thing! What’s going on w/ Joe Torre, by the expression on his face it looks like he’s passing a football. There’s a lot of high priced choking going on in this series. Abreu!! Damon !! Sheffield!! Can we do a Yankee stadium style rollcall cheer for theM? Sorry EK, I’ll be popping open a Rheingold beer in honor of those Tigers. Well Done boys.

Not only that, the Tigers must wear their windbreakers under the jerseys, all the way down through the minor league, so the old-English D is always showing.
Congrats, Detroit, for a job well done. Oh, and Ek, I sympathize as a fan of a fellow first-round ousted team.
A-Rod…sitting in the dugout..watching the Tigers elebrate. Quiet, composed, polite, wealthy…………….and going home.
Steinbrenner’s on the phone to Cashman as we speak.
I hope they trade him so Yankee fans stop b—-ing about him. The other 90% of the fans from the league and people from non-baseball cities don’t care about the absolutely tragic situation.
Anyways, anybody ever notice how innocent looking the Oakland Athletics uniforms are compared to their stadium-counterpart the Raiders? Maybe it’s because the fan basee is so bad ass. You just don’t see that from Athletics fans.
The Bucks still aren’t as Christmas as these bad boys. I seem to remember someone saying those looked good. These look good.
I like the Wild jerseys, though I am not a Christmas enthusiast. Maybe it’s hometown bias. I think the Bucks’ new unis, at least the ones pictured above, are all right. Nothing special, but certainly not that Christmassy, either. Their shiny red away (or is it home now? I never remember any more) jerseys, on the other hand, are atrocious.
I can’t believe I’m even saying this, but Oregon *doesn’t* have the worst uniforms on the field.
The burning sensation in my retinas is keeping me from saying that either of them has the “best” or even “better uniforms on my field”.
That said, to make things make a *little* more sense in this crazy world, the Ducks QB is wearing those “eyeblack tape” with the yellow Oregon “O” on it; with the same “O” at the center front of the helmet, all I can think of is Tri-Clops.
Or those moths that have false-eye patterns on their wings to scare off predators.
I know we have talked about the Utah State football uniforms before, with the hideous AGGIES on the back. In todays game, one of the players has gone to far. I believe he has one of those awful Nike shirts with the two colored sleeves (one blue and one white). He has gone as far as to match his socks (one blue and one white) as well has his wrist bands (one white and on blue). I will try and find a picture. No wonder the Aggies are 0-5.
Watching the Oregon Ducks vs. Cal Bears game… what an insult! The Ducks unis (terrible at the best of times, as well documented on this site, but white with silver nameplates?) and the Yellow Cal jerseys? C’mon guys… Halloween isn’t for 3 more weeks.
I was just poking around nhluniforms.com and it looks like the Calgary Flames have phased out their 3rd jersey (which I always kind of liked, despite the fact that most didn’t) this year.
I hadn’t noticed that when I browsed the site, but did you notice the third jersey abomination the Islanders will evidently be wearing. Orange is bad enough, but those blue dart things on the front and back make that jersey a five-alarm, Oregon-style catastrophe.

They have been wearing those for several years now. They are ugly, that’s for sure.

Just saying as a former Clemson student and still a huge fan…many of us here hate the purple, though there are alot that think it is cool. Some friends of mine and I have started an online petition group on Facebook called “Orange and White Are Right” in an effort to restore our true colors. But at any rate, GO TIGERS!!!
I have been very impressed with Oregon’s uni choices so far this year. It would be alot better if they got rid of the silver nameplates. It scares to think of what they are gonna use later in the season.

What about the Nationals? At home, they wear red hats and the lettring and numbers on their uniforms are red. On the road, the red is replaced by blue.
i don’t know if anyone has mentioned this yet b/c i didn’t feel like reading all the post but….but the Bucks won’t have a good a season i mean even in a photo shoot they can’t get the striped lines up *sigh*
ps. I thought today was a great day all-around for baseball unis. Thumbs up on the sartorial front. Oh, and I also liked Auburn versus Arkansas–both had solid unis.
ps. I thought today was a great day all-around for baseball unis. Thumbs up on the sartorial front. Oh, and I also liked Auburn versus Arkansas–both had solid unis.
I’m a huge Auburn fan, too. Today was pretty much a total disaster. Shouldn’t have gotten out of bed.

Poor, Ek. Have a drink—if it doesn’t make you feel better, well, maybe it will numb the pain. What other teams do you root for? How about the NFL? You know I will be watching the hideous purple to see how the Vikes will f*** it up against the Lions tomorrow.

Try being a Giants fan on top of it. Horrible coach, underachieving team, but great unis. At this point, I’ll take what I can get.
Santana Moss is going to light up our pitiful defense tomorrow. This must be what it’s like to be a death row inmate.

You know, you are in a really sad place when a fan from Minnesota feels sorry for you as a fan from New York. Maybe you shouldn’t watch the game, Ek. I fear for your blood pressure.
I also fear making mistakes because my preview area isn’t working half the time. What up with that?
EK, sorry, you do such a great and wonderful job around here keeping us all in order, and then, to top it off, you did a good job the other week on the golf thing, even if I don’t care for watching golf, I’d rather play. But I feel sorry for you. It’s just not been your day. But as a Browns fan, I can understand the whole sorry NFL team with great Unis, we are but one here. And as for the baseball thing, I root mostly for the Reds and Indians, so you can be happy you at least have some good teams, even with a $252 mill mistake. Lucky me, I get my Buckeyes, and we are a rolling this year baby!! GO BUCKEYES
Anyway, the reason I wrote was to point something out that has P-ed me off all day. In today’s game, the BGSU Falcons, who looked ok in those new unis, even if they too had the problem of some side stripes going all the way up and some not, look at the Adidas bands they have on in this pic. That one looks ok, but when they are wore the other side up, it looks like an Iowa St. logo, the cyclone. There were some players on the BG team that did this. that looks stupid, as much as I don’t like the Nike Swoosh all over, at least their swoosh can only be seen one way. Oh, you can see the stoppage of the stripe in that pic too!
I also fear making mistakes because my preview area isn’t working half the time. What up with that?
That’s usually a browser problem. Please don’t tell me you use internet explorer…
Ummmmm, ahhhhh, why? What does that have to do with it? And say I was, not that I’m admitting it, what should I be using instead?
Let me put it in perspective. Take Paul’s hatred of what Nike is doing to sports and multiply it by a hundred. That’s basically my hatred of Microsoft. They make a horrible browser with unparalleled vulnerabilities, yet it’s considered “the standard” because it’s bundled with 95% of computers that are sold today.
There’s a link on the left side of this site for Firefox. It’s much faster, it’ll import all your bookmarks from internet explorer and it’s much better at blocking popups, trojans, spyware, etc.

I usully have the preveiw thing only if i shut my EZ Armor firewall off. sometimes i have to do this to see pics, and what not all over the place, not just here. but if i have it on, it will not let me see my preveiw just a thought, try it once.

Ok, Ek. I will consider it after consulting with my computer guy (my brother) because I hate Microsoft, too, but if I mess it up, I’m coming after you!
I understand what you are all saying, but I don’t understand why the preview area started working every other time only today. I’ve had no problems with it before.

Thanks, but no one should feel sorry for me. I’ve lived through 4 Yankee championships (can’t count ‘78 because I didn’t know what was going on), 2 Giants Super Bowl wins (and 1 drubbing), a Villanova championship (my father’s alma mater), an Auburn Sugar Bowl (I was actually there) win and undefeated season, a NY Rangers Stanley Cup, and a couple of Nets conference titles.
It’s just been a rough couple years. Here’s a fun stat: The Yanks are 3-10 in their last 13 playoff games. That’s awful.

EK, are you a mac guy? Or do you just despise Microsoft. And if you’re not a Microsoft user how do you balance the love of one evil empire and the hatred of another.
Full disclosure: I’m a mac user and can’t stand either of the afore mentioned evil empires. But I love this site.

ok, so there is no need to rub it in. I understand the bad day thing, i have been there too many times, i was just tellin ya we feel your pain out here, remember we lived through the john cooper era. but u get lucky to have that long list, i can match you on the, uhhhh, um the all i got is the 2002 NCAA champs and kind of remember the 1990 reds title, i was like 9, but u had to rub it in, thanks!
Speaking of Mets fans.
Anyone catch that little thing at the beginning of the Mets game where Fox announcers talked about the 85% blind guy with the acute vision device?
Kinda seemed like it didn’t need to happen, in my opinion.
EK, are you a mac guy? Or do you just despise Microsoft. And if you’re not a Microsoft user how do you balance the love of one evil empire and the hatred of another.
I’m a die hard mac guy. I have one windows machine for testing along with one linux machine. Other than that, it’s all apple.
As for the evil empire stuff…. Microsoft is an awful company. The New York Yankees are a baseball team. I’ve been rooting for them since they were the laughingstock of baseball. I was a huge Yankee fan growing up in the 80’s when getting 20,000 fans inside Yankee Stadium was considered a good day.
I’m not blind to why they are so widely disliked these days though…
Speaking of Mets fans.
Anyone catch that little thing at the beginning of the Mets game where Fox announcers talked about the 85% blind guy with the acute vision device?
Kinda seemed like it didn’t need to happen, in my opinion.
They talked about it because they made fun of him in the last game and got called on it. They felt bad about it and wanted to apologize.
I’m with Buckeye Mike. No more feeling sorry for Ek. Sheesh. All I got is the two Twins WS (though I was at game seven of the 1987 championship).
May the Apple people inherit the earth!
Sorry if I kicked you while you were down. Just having a little fun.

Yep, i just saw it myself, don’t know why, as much as i dislike the yanks, i do like Joe, he seems to be a classy guy and a damn good man to run a team.
Hmmm. This is one I’m definitely going to have to wait out.
I do like Torre a lot, but it’s also been close to $1 billion without a championship.
Something has to change. I thought it was a step in the right direction when they refused to deal top prospects the last two years. I honestly don’t know. I’m on the fence.
Hey i have a question for everyone, i may have to repost this tomorrow’s open thread, but why is that some teams, like Wyoming have the NCAA logo on their jerseys, some have their conf. logo on them like New Mexico even though those two played each other, they in the same conferance or not? it looks really weird on some, like BG’s today was way up on the shoulder on some guys, and yet the Buckeyes have nothing on them. is there a mandate on where it has to be, waht color and what not, i think the SEC has it’s on the jersey, but it colors with the team, not like that mt west one does. anyone have any ideas on this and if it is by each conferance who all has it, who has the conf logo and what not? sorry cant spell kind of tired

Let me put it in perspective. Take Paul’s hatred of what Nike is doing to sports and multiply it by a hundred. That’s basically my hatred of Microsoft. Enough about classic baseball unis! The sport is a hundred years old – yeah we get it. Baseball pinstripes are awful looking – Especially NY’s.
Fox announcer on the tube talking about the Tigers unis. He says they are the only team that has a color on their road unis (orange) that does not appear on the home unis..and that the old english D has to be shown at all times. “It’s nice to take pride in a logo, but it’s better to beat the Yankees.”
What about the Nationals? At home, they wear red hats and the lettring and numbers on their uniforms are red. On the road, the red is replaced by blue.
but both the Nats’ homes and roads contain the opposing color; there’s blue as an outline/accent in the home white-and-reds, and red as an outline/accent in the road gray-and-blues.

The uniforms look nice, though I’ve never been a big fan of having a side stripe on the jersey that continues down through the pants. During a game, they never line up and even in this photo where the players are just posing, the stripes don’t line up on #22’s and #21’s uniforms. In my opinion, a major oversight by the photographer. ;-)
#4 by Barney on 10.07.06 10:16 am |
I think, more than ever, that teams need to have a contrasting-colored waitband to help offset the main color of the uniform when it’s worn with the baggy shorts.
#5 by Banker BIll on 10.07.06 10:31 am |

“I like the Oregon helmets a lot. The dark green and yellow thing works really well there. The uniforms have just gotten out of hand to me. The metal grill marks, the rollerball numbers, etc.

upon further review, nhluniforms.com doesn’t have it listed as an alt, though it was their away uni when dark was still worn for away games and before the return of the skating penguin. However, I feel like I remember seeing it much more recently than 01-02, the year before they changed unis (skating pen was alt that year). Working on photo research for my own sanity…

Absolutely true. Nobody has ever offered a satisfactory explanation for this (although I’d be willing to be that it involves a long-ago change of cap and/or jersey manufacturers and a fuzzy Xerox machine). #37 by Kim on 10.07.06 2:27 pm |
That Penguins jersey isn’t an alternate.
It’s fine for colleges and universities, though.

Hoopy Hoildays from your 2006-2007 Milwaukee Bucks.

Hallmark cards might like this but as a hoops fan, plain awful!

I hadn’t noticed that when I browsed the site, but did you notice the third jersey abomination the Islanders will evidently be wearing. Orange is bad enough, but those blue dart things on the front and back make that jersey a five-alarm, Oregon-style catastrophe.

I have been very impressed with Oregon’s uni choices so far this year. It would be alot better if they got rid of the silver nameplates. It scares to think of what they are gonna use later in the season.

Ok, couple things,
EK, sorry, you do such a great and wonderful job around here keeping us all in order, and then, to top it off, you did a good job the other week on the golf thing, even if I don’t care for watching golf, I’d rather play.

Let me put it in perspective. Take Paul’s hatred of what Nike is doing to sports and multiply it by a hundred. That’s basically my hatred of Microsoft. There’s a link on the left side of this site for Firefox. It’s much faster, it’ll import all your bookmarks from internet explorer and it’s much better at blocking popups, trojans, spyware, etc.
