2nd post....

I haven't found a picture yet, but in today's game a Texas A&M player (placekicker?) had "12th man" on each shoulder while all the others had their jersey number.

Weird.
Go to an A&M website (http://aggietraditions.tamu.edu/12thman.shtml) and lookup the 12th Man tradition. I was raised to despise A&M but it is a pretty cool tradition.

Hey Paul, I know we all run to our computers when we see uniform disasters such as Wash St, or the Vikings bills game, or argue over questionable ones such as the Sabres, and it’s all well and fun. But is there a possible way the site could interview or get in touch someone involved within the organizations or the actual design of the uniforms to rationalize their creations? It would be nice to hear the flip side of the argument, because on this website we tend to pretty much agree with disasters. You know that as we all sit around watching TV or sit in a stadium and think wow that looks awful, there’s some guy out there who made the uniform going "damn those unis look good."
no place is worse for the pink hats (and pink everything else) than Boston. if you go to a game at Fenway, about 1/4 of everyone in the park is wearing either a pink hat or a pink player-number shirt.

just goes to show that all women in Boston are complete douchebags.
On a different topic...

Does anyone know where to find summaries of pantone colors for professional and college teams. For example, what are the PMS #'s for USC and the Lakers?

Where can I find vector templates for football, baseball, basketball and hockey uniforms?

This is the one non-official color where I, personally, make an exception. I mean, wearing a black Red Sox hat, or a red Yankee hat, or any of those other ridiculous colors is the height of douchebaggery. But girls really dig the pink hat - hell, even my grandma bought a pink Phillies hat. The ladies like it, so why fight it?
Um, I am a woman, and I loathe the pink thing. It's a way for some women to feel they are real fans while maintaining their 'girlness". As I've said before, real fans don't wear pink. I find it demeaning---plus, it's such a putrid color. I extend this sentiment to any pastel, but I especially hate pink. I guess that's because I'm no lady.
Fair enough. I felt the same way about the pink hat until I saw my grandma with one. She's a HUGE Phillies fan, been following them since the 50's and so forth. And she had a pink hat (that she doesn't wear, but she displays), so I said well, who the hell am I to judge? I dislike non-traditional colors as much as anyone, but the fact is that pink is not a color that anyone uses, so making pink-colored gear seems different somehow.
