Regarding the Minnesota Wild color scheme, i personally don't believe that any Minnesota team would attempt to appeal to any Wisconsinite, ever, but it is worth noting that, as far as FSN North is concerned, Wisconsin (at least the northern part) is part of the Minnesota Wild broadcast area -- Green Bay is 285 miles from St. Paul and the Wild and only 200 miles from Chicago and the Blackhawks, but we get Wild -- not Blackhawks -- games.

Begin Canned Defense of UD's Mascot
The Delaware Regiment raised during the Revolutionary war fought with great valor and distinguished itself as one of the bravest fighting units in the Continental Army. Their mascot was an actual Delaware Blue Hen, know for its fighting skills (and skills in magic), and hence the unit became known as the "Fightin Blue Hens."

End Canned Defense of UD's Mascot
Actually the real Delaware Blue Hen does have a bluish tint to it's feathers. UD maintains a breeding stock to preserve this type of bird. And the old Fightin' Blue Hen Mascot was a billion times better than the current one.
On the plus side I get to tailgate all day tomorrow in Newark, DE. On the minus side, they're playing New Hampshire.
Thanks for this.... LOL. I quite enjoyed it, have a great day of tailgating.

If the Longhorns did this I would never watch them again. The most disturbing part, other than all those crazy lines all over everything, is that the longhorn has suddenly lost his horns! ACK!

speaking of xmas... bring this back!
I agree!! I see those jerseys and I see Chico Resch in goal and the Devils on the short end of 11-3 scores.

Although black and red go well together, I never liked the Devs change to black. I always felt they were just trending. There were other things they could've done than just dropping green for black and dulling down the red.. And now after seeing the black for many years, their jerseys just look bland now. Maybe if they made that red a little brighter it would pep things up a bit.
The Devils need a uniform overhaul. Their logo is god-awful. Although I disagree that they were simply trending when they went with the black. When I think of devils, I always associate them with red and black.
Jim - What's this guys name? And does he know his design are getting discussed here?
His name is Ian. He used to visit the CCSLC frequently, but hasn't stopped by much in the last few months since he went back to school. I don't have his email address, so I don't know if he's aware that his stuff is being discussed.

In a way, it feels like we've been prying into his diary. I know photobucket accounts are public, but it seems weird that everyone is just randomly linking through his portfolio and commenting on it, especially with him most likely unaware of it.

As CubsFanBudMan mentioned, these were done as part of a redesign project Ian was working on. And they're probably not most people's cup of tea, but he challenged himself to come up with some unique ideas.
Ok, on that one kid's logo page, i give him all kinds of props for doing that. Some of his stuff isn't really that bad. I don't care for the whole O's things, but some parts of it are ok, and the "new" texas logo looks neat, tough, i like it. I didn't look real close, so I hope I don't find his attack on OSU, that would not be good.

But I have to ask, What the HELL is this Browns logo supposed to be? and how come no one has pointed out the LOGO CREEP? Look at the Browns one, and like this one for the redskins. He has swooshes all over the place. I'll assume that he did it to all the NFL ones(I'm too lazy to look right now), but then when he does ones for one of the Nike U's, Miami, he leaves it out. I mean, I know it says 2004, But didn't RBK have the NFL then? and I don't think the Browns ever used Nike. Overall, I still give him all kinds of props for the awesome thinking.
