Something about that red and white looks cheaper than the colors they’ve used in the past. Maybe it’s the material. Maybe it’s the big white box logo.

Or maybe it’s Malcolm Glazer.

I like the red tops and white shorts (looks very team England-esque, kinda cool), but I agree that the AIG looks kinda lame.

Yes, that was true. They were going to do the reverse of the home pinstripes for the road. Thankfully, it was shot down.

As a Yankees fan I am glad that I never even heard of something like this, it would have been terible, the road grays are as important as the home pinstripes and shouldn’t be messed with.

First, that wasnt a few years ago that was like 30 years ago when all the teams used to wear blue powder uniforms. The uniform was supposed to be completely blue with white pinstripes

For xmas one year I got the Blue Force jersey, which was much more understated than the yellow. I have to admit though, I like the yellow Force kits. I think the bigger embarassment was the guy in the Darth Vader costume that had an adding machine on his chest to mimic DVs control panel.

Taken from the late 70s-early 80s Major Indoor Soccer League, which played with an orange ball. Since teams were playing on hockey rinks with white boards surrounding the field, they thought an orange ball would help fans see it better (plus, it was the late 70s-early 80s). You’ll see a yellow or orange ball outdoors a lot when a game is in the snow, or during months without much daylight. The EPL uses a yellow ball in Dec, Jan and Feb.

Guessing from the link name, the opponent in the blue was the Kansas City Comets. That diagonal tail thingie is supposed to be a comet’s tail, I guess.
